Tonart: A minor
Verse 1
Am
So what about Stillhouse Hollow?
Stillhouse Hollow
happens to be a huge lake
in central Texas.
It was built by the Army Corps
of Engineers
after World War II,
probably in the 50s.
Sort of taking a hike, walking around,
out in the area.
G#m
And I was sitting on a bluff
Am
that sits right above the water,
G
Am
high above the lake, with the guitar.
G#m
and there were huge clouds
Am
in front of the Sun as the Sun was
G#
kind of getting a little lower in the sky
G#m
and it was breaking the
G#
Am
Sun into beams of light
and the water below me
and all you know as far out as I could see
the water just absolutely sparkled.
Am
I had to capture this in song.
The beginning has that majesty of the what
G
Am
would I say the depth or and or the height
both of those things
Am
because the scale of what
i was looking at
G#m
Gm
Am

was so large from top to bottom and all around boy it's kind of like looking
Am

up rather down at the water looking up and seeing the sky

and just the huge huge clouds

the sun breaking through them

and halo moon anyways,
Am
comes from seeing this incredible

lunar ring one night.
G#m
There's the moon right in the middle of it,
Am
and the moon halo was just all

Again, very large scale.
Am
And I just had to say to myself,
Man, I got to sit down
G#m
G
and I've got to document this in song.
