The boozer boys and Christ
mas toys seem to be shining
the figures of a wooden scene
I think I hear the angels play,
A drunk man sings silent night,
pennies drop from my hand
and fly out of the light.
Blessed are the eyes that can see,
by the light of a flickering flame.
Blessed are the ears that can hear
the sound of a crying king.
I walked around this crazy town
to see the one star shining,
but the light from all the welded stores
out shone the star I was looking for.
I think I hear the angels sing,
Mother weeps on the touring
Blessed are the eyes that can see.
By the light of a flickering flame
Blessed are the ears that can hear
The sound of a crying king
Oh, horns of holiday ring clear
Dollar signs from a busy day
Paint -on smiles, brightened waves
I think I hear the angels call
hidden here on the Christmas Eve,
Blessed are the eyes that can see,
by the light of the flickering
Blessed are the ears that can hear
the sound of a crying king.
An d blessed are the eyes that can see
by the light of a flickering flame.
Blessed are the ears that can hear
the sound of a newborn King.
