    sipped highballs 

    and cocktails

    went to the bullfights.

    the big guilt 
    and political correctness 

    and the 
    chain stores 
    had
    n't sunk 

    in so deep. 
    I 
    thought, 

    you know the 
    best person 
    to read these memories 
    would have been
