& a ball- and- chain."

He said, "Now, I- I- I- I ain't tryna shake you up,

but"

"B- b- b- but, I just want you to

know,"

"If the cops start to crowd me in,"

"Then, you gonna be the first to go."

"Now lookie here... don't

even look back!"

"Just drive ooonnn just like

nuthin' happened!"

That's what he said,

that's what he told me,

Said, "Don't even look back or

nuthin'!"

He said, "Uhhh..." now when I "get to that redlight,


" he wanted me to "go to my left,

& then jump back to my right,"

He said, "Now,

I- I- I want you to drive up in that alley,"

"N- n- not that alley! That

alley over there!"

"And pull up behind that liquor

store,"

"And keep a sharp lookout at all

times, while I sneak in the back door."

That's what he told me!

He said, "Uhhhh... keep your foot on that gas,

& always be on guard,"

"'Cause when I come runnin' outta there

with all that money,"

He wanted me to "mash down

on it real hard"

He said, "Now, uhhh...

don't lemme come outta there & find

me a double- cross,"

"Because I'll murder

when the heat's on."

hit me dead in the face

And this great, big,

Chicago cop behind me said, "Uhhh.

.move over a lil' bit,

baby... we gonna take yo' place."

Just then, this guy come runnin' out the

liquor store with all of that money in his hand,


He said, "Oh, there you are!"

He made a mistake in the dark & leaped

in the police car.

They put the handcuffs on him,

I said, "Child,

your crime might've outgrew him!"

Then they said, "Uhhh...",
