Francisco police are investigating a deadly shooting
in the city's western edition.
The gunfire erupted early this
morning on the 1100 block of
Mr.
Pudgery near
Kirkware.

hidden by a white sheet.

Neighbors heard gunfire
just after three this morning
Police found two people shot
multiple times inside this car
One man dead, a young woman barely alive,
rushed to the hospital.
There's a real epidemic of
violence right now where young
African -American males are
frankly becoming en dangered in
San
Francisco.
Police don't believe the shooting
was gang -related.
Whatever life they need,
they steal people and their persons and somebody needs to recognize them.
This year there have been 56 homicides so far, 10 more than last year,
but in 2004 the homicide rate was higher than today.
Some, but not all, residents blame police,
and many say they feel they're under siege.
Well, you hear the gunshots.
You know, the only thing we can do is,
first thing, hit the floor.

see what's going on.

My grandkids can't even imagine when we come outside because we don't know
if they'll be standing out here one minute and be dead the next.
The young woman shot
this morning is from
Daly
City, her condition is critical and
she's not expected to survive.
